The “Dream 9,” nine young adults who are fighting to reunite families including their own, were released from Eloy Detention Center today.   On July 22, they were stopped as they tried to return to the United States through Nogales.  SEIU Arizona member and attorney Margo Cowan worked to have them released, and the nine were able to establish credible fear of persecution, so will be allowed to fight for asylum while remaining in the U. S.

Last week, Representatives Raul Grijalva and Ed Pastor joined 31 other House members in sending a letter to President Obama asking for them to be released and allowed to stay in the United States.
